Kapitel 86: Redstone Fort

Remorseful thoughts lingered in Lynx's mind as he rode an oxdrawn carriage following the dirt path south of Nexus. Had he known the impact of raising port taxes on their northern allies, he would have been the first to oppose the idea. While he still believed in the Nexians' military superiority, he feared that the prospects of a clean win against the Solusians was becoming nigh impossible. Worse, he could already see in his mind's eye how defeat would diminish what little influence the Nexians had on other Nozulian City States.

The same dreadful vision was felt by Cedric through his gut instinct that it necessitated for him to send Lynx down in a hurry to meet the expeditionary forces. He hoped to recall them to quash the rebellion in the western part of the city, so he lent his nephew the fastest oxdrawn carriage he had, wishing that Albert and his men would receive the message in time. Knowing that he might have spies in his camp, he could only trust his own blood.
