Kapitel 24: Meeting The Witness

Roxana peered through the window as the ornate carriage made its way along the rugged path. She narrowed her eyes at the sight that unfolded before her. Outside the carriage, she witnessed the squalid surroundings of a village on Oberon City's outskirts.

The village's streets were covered in mud and dirty garbage, while the buildings belonging to the residents looked shabby as their walls were made of rotting wood.

As the carriage continued its journey, she could see a road sign that read 'Oakshade Village'. The road sign was cracked on several sides and covered in dust.

Roxana couldn't help but feel a deep sense of contrast between the opulent life in the city and the stark village that lay beyond her carriage window.

"My Lady, why must we go to such a shabby place like this?" asked Damian from outside the carriage. Since Roxana didn't want anyone else to follow her, she asked Damian to drive the carriage.
