True to Eve's expectations, the salve worked its magic on her wounds, healing them in mere minutes.

Being the creator of the salve, Eve was fully aware of its potency.

She let out a sigh of relief as the pain and discomfort slowly subsided.

After a few more minutes, she got up and examined the rest of her body in the mirror located above the small toilet in the room. There were no visible bruises on her face. Despite still appearing pale, Eve was slowly regaining her strength.

The beating she received was unlike any she had ever endured.

She walked out and went back to her seat only to see the physician standing by the door.

"You should leave now," the man spoke dismissively like he was shooing away a bird.

"Thank you for helping me."

"It was not my intention to help."

Her lips twitched as she fought back the urge to start an argument with the rude vampire.

"Ah… you should stay for at least a few more hours."
