"H-how could anyone do this? And to children, no less?" Stuttered Theo, looking pale as he took a step back. 

"Hate to say it, but...it's honestly not surprising. Come on...let's check if any of them are still alive, they'll need immediate medical attention if there are, so we should hurry," I replied quietly, placing a hand on his shoulder. 

"He's right. Let's go," Nodded Miyuru, stepping forward with a grim look on his face and making his way to one of the shackled children, his fists tightly clenched. 

The rest of us spread out and headed towards some of the other kids, I walked over to a young girl and touched her wrist, feeling for a pulse. Nothing...she's dead. She looks like she's around twelve or thirteen, at most.
