Karna was now sitting on the ground and looking at the chest wound that he had gotten from the alpha's claw. It was now completely healed, to the point that only a small scar was left.

Just as he was about to ask the system about the condition of his arm, he yanked his head up upon hearing the loud clanking sound, looked to see what was happening, and clicked his tongue after seeing what was happening.

He couldn't believe that he was even thinking about fighting a creature like that.

The alpha bloodhound was truly a strong magical beast; if not for the fear the aura of death had raised inside it that made it feel caution against him, it would have definitely killed Karna in seconds.

Then there was its desire for power, which drove it to willingly sacrifice one of its own. Both of these were the primary reasons he was still alive.
