"What in the—You're lying! You have no proof of that!" Erin yelled back, thinking that the cops would believe her because she had bruises on her cheeks. 

"Just like you, do you have proof that I am the one who did that to you?" Kate said, and Erin was stunned after realizing Kate was right. She also had no proof of what happened right now.
