Sloane snapped out of his state of shock very quickly and backed off.

He almost died to a fellow human which was something he never had to worry about before.

Everyone in the countryside was much more friendly and open-minded in his experience compared to those he had just met in the Capital.

There were so many rules and other things to keep track of in his new environment so it caused him to struggle for the first time as a Balancer.

His life as a Balancer had been quite smooth so far and rarely encountered any big setbacks.

Few others around him could be seen as a peer and as talented as him.

Those who mainly worked with him when he was younger were mostly all adults and more experienced Balancers.

He was just a big fish in a small pond and he had come to learn that there were many outside who were far stronger and more talented than him.
