It took some time for Ash to calm down and regain a much clearer state of mind.

She felt fearful about how she had almost lost full control.

It was like she was someone else entirely at that moment and like a darker side of herself had taken over.

It was very difficult to pull back from that state where she was empathizing with, absorbing, and connecting with the fear of her target on a deeper level.

It was the first time she had ever used it on another human so she was not yet aware of how immersed she would become once it started and how difficult it was to remain herself.

If it was another person using such a technique without any preparation and control of themselves then they may have been consumed by that fear and would have acted out every emotional impulse.
