First there was the Bennet family who were known as the family of fire and they had a Great Fire Spirit as their Guardian Spirit.

Second was the Nash family who were known as the family of wood and they had a Great Wood Spirit as their Guardian Spirit.

Third was the Lincoln family who were known as the family of water and they had a Great Water Spirit as their Guardian Spirit.

Fourth was the Silverstein family who were known as the family of metal and they had a Great Metal Spirit as their Guardian Spirit.

Fifth was the Mason family who were known as the family of earth and they had a Great Earth Spirit as their Guardian Spirit.

Each family were known for their guardian that served as their protector and enforces but also for their high affinity towards the element their family represented.
