Madelyn opened the car door angrily and got in. Bella glanced at her and said, "Give up already. You have a blind date this weekend."

Madelyn turned her head away and replied, "I'm not going."

"You stubborn girl, don't you know the saying 'If you don't listen to the wise, you'll suffer'? You're young and beautiful. Why pick a fight with Louis?"

Madelyn pouted and said, "I missed out on Louis because I listened to you. If it weren't for your interference, I wouldn't have ended up pregnant with Asher's child. You messed up my life. From now on, I'll take charge of my own life."
