The clapping eventually quieted down after what seemed like forever.
The man with sharp-looking features snickered, "What's so amazing about copying? Anybody with a bit of artistic talent can copy a shape. Show us your own stuff, your unique touch. That's real skill."
Alicia had never seen this man before. Yet she was sure there were folks pulling his strings from behind. Who they were didn't matter. They were just stepping stones on her journey, people meant to help her shine even more.
Alicia gave a calm smile, looking at the man as she answered, "Honestly, I find making my own artwork quite easy. It's as simple as letting my heart lead the brush. But in copying, you have to get into the head of the original artist, get their feelings, their aims, and the message they wanted to send, while also learning their unique style. As for why I chose to copy, it's because I'm an art restorer, where copying is a necessary skill."
