Louis's voice was so pleasant, booming, and clear, like the sound of a low-pitched cello, brushing against her ear and sliding into her eardrums. Alicia's heart raced uncontrollably, as if a little deer was head-butting her chest with its antlers.

She stood still and felt so relaxed. Words of love from a loved one could make the brain release dopamine. Alicia curved her eyes, lifted her face, and looked at Louis's sexy and charming handsome face, saying, "Thank you for comforting me like this. Thank you."

Louis chuckled, pinching her cheek, his gaze teasing. "I've found you to be a bit silly and naive."

Alicia's expression faltered slightly, and she gave an embarrassed smile. "I am a bit clueless about romance. Jaheer has said the same about me."

Louis raised one corner of his lips. "What did he say?"
