Kapitel 179: Need to Talk

Maya's heart was beating faster and faster as Nathaniel declared he would have no one but her. 

He was right, the only thing they were lacking was a piece of paper that would bind them in the eyes of the government. She was his wife in all ways, but one.

It was a step she might not yet have agreed to take, but she knew he was well aware that she wouldn't deny him, that she wanted to be his wife someday.

Carlton Miller continued on, explaining how Maya would be working with Miller Industries from now on. He also took the time to thank Nathaniel, or in this case, Alistair, for his generosity having joined them despite his busy schedule.

The entire time, Nathaniel kept his eyes on her as she tried to elbow him into paying attention. If he looked too love sick everyone would think that she was his weakness, that she was the way to get to the powerful Alistair De La Rue.
