Kapitel 661: Taking care of business

There was a lot of nervousness as directors and executives faced CEO Chi who was stone faced in the board room as she waited for them to start speaking, one at a time. There were a few other familiar faces of employees who were not part of the top management but were here out of necessity or on invitation.

"Begin." Chi Lian said. She was sitting in the central position of the leader and old tiger was standing behind her. In front of her were documents in pink folders and nobody knew what was in them. It frightened them, as they wondered if any of their departments was related to the folders in any way.

It was just one word but she said it so coldly with a frightening gaze that more people's nerves tingled.

"How much has been lost in my absence?" She asked.

Heads turned as grown men and women looked at each other. They communicated with their eyes, speaking to one another secretly. But their silent language was very readable to her.
