She tried her best to sound neutral, brief and positive without being too opiniated because knowing the true thoughts of an emperor was no easy task. She knew that he was hoping to use his daughter to bind their family to his but there were many other princes and wealthy families in this and other empires so it was possible for him to change his mind and terminate that plan. 

"I asked for your opinion." the emperor seemed to be unhappy with her answer from the look on his face.
