Kapitel 253: Bribe or coercion

Four more fun filled days filled with adventure went by so quickly and the family of four eventually went out on the water on one of Muyang's boats to tour the unfrozen lake. The lake was one of the more rare sights in the empire because it never froze, not even in the winter.

This was because of volcanic activity deep in the lake that provided heat which prevented the lake from freezing.

This was the first trip of the children on a boat and they were quite excited. Chi Lian was also excited because she couldn't wait for T4 to scan the lake and see if there was anything like treasure in it.

In the meantime, she was confused about why Muyang and little monk seemed to be holding some kind of stare off. Chi Lian could not help but wonder what had gone down between father and son. Did they argue?

Little monk was not yet vocal, how could he possibly argue with his father? Maybe she was over analyzing the situation and reading too much into it.
