Shawn walked over to Sydney and handed her a stone cup full of water. She took it and thanked him before gulping it down. He hadn't said anything since he came outside and for once he was grateful Ken would do all the talking. It was already bad enough for them despite being entirely sincere in their feelings for Sydney.

But like Scott had said, one word from him and Sydney would definitely take in only one male. A selfish and self centered merman wasn't the kind of person to stand next to Sydney.
