Kapitel 132: Strange Days, Strange Nights

It was a confusing day that passed in a weird kind of blur, leaving me ragged emotionally and exhausted.

I had been dying to ask Roselind what had happened the night before, but she was avoiding me.

Unsurprisingly, David spent the whole day walled off behind a cluster of men so that none of the Select could get close, and besides, I was dragged along in the wake of Agatha—who still hadn't given me permission to refer to her by her first name, even though she called me by mine.

Following the woman around as she cornered different men reminded me of waterskiing—just hold on, turn to face the waves, and pray you didn't faceplant when anyone was watching.

Because even I could see Agatha was a force to be reckoned with.

From what I could see, other than David, even the Kings looked sideways when they saw her coming.
