"...Hey, Adonis..."
"Yeah, Lena?"
"When you invited me out, I hoped it'd just be the two of us..."
Adonis and Lena were currently on their way to the Glory's Home, with the rest of the team.
"Well, I only invited Mila, Jewel, and Madeline as well. I don't know how the rest knew."
Lena felt slight irritation by this situation, especially since she planned to spend time with Adonis after the match.
"Well, of course, we would go!" Extra 1 said excitedly.
"Yeah! The match between the Templar Sect and the Halo Sect is one worth watching!" Extra 2 said additionally.
"We would've gone to see it anyways, with or without you guys!" Extra 3 said.
"I don't remember asking you extra's anything," Lena bluntly said.
The 3 extras felt something pierce them after hearing Lena's insult.
"But we would have gone to see the fight, even if Adonis didn't invite us. After all, if we make it to the Semi-Finals, they will most likely be our opponents," Mila explained.
The mood in the air got tense when Mila mentioned that, as the others couldn't imagine being opponents to such a powerful sect.
They all entered the Colleseum and were met with a packed-out Arena.
"Oh god, how are we gonna find seats here?" Klein complained.
Adonis used his senses to see if there was any free space and saw an empty row a bit away.
"Follow me; I see empty seats."
The group followed Adonis and was able to sit on empty seats before it was filled up.
Eventually, the sound of a monotone voice was heard, saying "The match between the Templar Sect and the Halo Sect will now begin."
The entire arena went quiet as they waited for the fighters to come out.
After a minute, two people came out from opposite ends of the Arena.
On the left, there was a male with blond hair and green eyes, he was wearing an elegant and regal robe. He is the third son of the Tener Family, and part of the Templar sect, Christian Tener.
On the right, there was another male with white hair and silver eyes, he was wearing a white cassock that had a golden outline. He is the son of a major family that was under the Aberra family, which was known for their light magic, Kale Herrmann.
"Well, to think I get to fight the third son of the Teners. I'm honored," Kale said in a tone that was difficult to discern whether he was mocking Christian or being genuine.
"You shouldn't, especially since I'll be the one to defeat you." Christian put up a Knight's stance.
"Hahahaha, you underestimate me, Christian."
"Are we on a first-name basis?"
"Well, I hope to get to know you better during this fight," As Kale said that, the barrier glowed green. Kale made many star-shaped lights behind him, once he said "Meteor Shower" The lights were quickly shot right at Christian, making it a beautiful sight to behold.
Christian reacted quickly by using his movement technique, 'Ghost Walk'. He wasn't bursting toward Kale, but instead weaved through each of the stars that came at him with ease, it was as if he was casually walking through the bombardment of stars.
"Ok, you can avoid that. Then what about this!!"
Kale traced light magic across his sword's edge, making it glow a faint light. After that, he put himself in a typical sword stance and breathed slowly, once he said "Blade Wall" He quickly formed a wall made of slashes in a criss-cross shape, that sped toward Christian.
Christian was still casually dodging each of the stars that tried to him, he then gathered wind in his left hand and let the wall of slashes get closer. Once the wall was within arm's reach, he quickly touched the wall with his left hand and the focused wind and said "Disruption Pulse" This made the focused wind explode and destroy the wall of slashes.
Christian then used "Burst Speed" and was speeding toward Kale. Kale was taken aback by how easily his wall broke and his opponent's sudden burst of speed, but he still was able to use his movement technique 'Dance of the Shooting Stars' and narrowly avoided Christian's attack.
Kale ran behind Christian and used 'Radiant Cleaver' where a thick air slash made of light split through the ground at high rotational speed. Christian remained calm and used one of his trump cards. "Blessing of the Wind"
Mystical wind gathered and blew around Christian, it gently blew his robes and hair making him look elven. He stood his ground as Radiant Cleaver hit, the thick slash made a deep mark in the wall and floor of the arena, but Christian was completely fine.
This made Kale confused, but he gathered himself and used 'Halo Sword' making his sword shine brilliantly and a halo of light to form at the hilt. He decided that if far-range spells weren't working, then a clash of swords will. He ran toward Christian with his light sword at his side.
Christian quickly used a similar spell on his sword called "Nature's Arm" and the mystical wind formed around the sword making it look beautiful and unique. Christian blocked Kale's attack and pushed him back.
A clash of light and wind commenced, the light looked clean and brilliant with each slash and the wind danced fluently with no struggle against the light. The clash of swords went around the entire arena floor, making many clean slash marks on the floor and walls. The fight became a beautiful spectacle to all of the audience's eyes as the wind light hit and intertwined with each other.
A few minutes later, the light started to shine brilliantly, while the wind started to wane. To a normal person, this would be a sign that Kale was winning. But to experienced cultivators that wouldn't be the case. Adonis using his senses was able to tell that Christian was calm and composed and Kale was getting tired and desperate, making him put more mana into his attacks in hopes that it would hurt Christian. However, Blessing of the Wind didn't allow that as any attacks that may have hit Christian were blocked by it.
Adonis understood that the spell was a high-grade technique, that was meant to tank heavy-hitting attacks as if it were an impenetrable shield. No matter how hard Kale attacked, no matter how much mana he put into his attacks, he would never be able to break through the impenetrable shield.
This causes Kale's desperation to rise and his slip up as he started to swing too widely. Christian capitalized on this and parried Kale's sword out of his hand, with his sword pointed toward the sky; he slashed down with the spell 'Current Ripper' and slashes Kale's barrier in two.
Kale stood stunned by what happened, and when his barrier shattered into pieces, he fell to his knees in disbelief.
Christian simply looked at Kale and said "So, do you know me better now?"
