Kapitel 75: CH75:MANY TASKS

Down in the tunnel….

A cold draft moved through the walls of the tunnel as two opponents prepared to face off against the other. Cherry, with her beat down clothes but large, red claws and the man with large, crystal-powered gauntlets, glared into each other's eyes while waiting for the other to react first.

"It figures." The Hunter spoke. "You're one of those Gifted freaks. I'll beat you and rip your body apart."

"Provided you catch me first." Cherry replied. She partially transformed her legs and used the extra power to boost her off the ground and send her flying with her claws out. The speed she was moving at was impressive, but the Hunter, who dealt with beasts faster than Cherry, was able to effortlessly move aside and retaliate with a powerful blow to the girl's left side. Cherry fell and rolled in the ground as her left rib cage raged in pain.

She quickly got back up on her feet, only to be greeted by a large palm to her face that slammed her into the ground. The man gripped Cherry's face and dragged her head onto the metallic rails of the train track. Each hit sent new levels of pain all over her body, but they also made her even angrier.

Cherry used her powerful legs and delivered a bone cracking kick to the man's knee, causing him to lose his balance while Cherry pounced back on her feet. Thanks to her rapid regenerative ability, she was able to brush off the throbbing pain in her head and heal the bruises on her body.

"So you've got a regenerative ability. Big deal. I'll defeat you myself and make it painful for you." The Hunter said while rubbing his sore knee. Cherry once more jumped at the guy with her claws ready to strike, but her opponent was still able to dodge this. Only this time, instead of moving aside, he grabbed Cherry's arms with his gauntlets.

The speed at which Cherry attacked with built enough force to push the Hunter back as her claws dug into the metallic texture of the gauntlets. Cherry, while still being airborne, begun to spin repeatedly as her claws left dents in the gauntlets. Sparks flew all over as Cherry slowly pushed back the man.

"How is this—possible?" He struggled to stand his ground. "Either way—I'm going to—defeat…"

"All your talk is starting to piss me off." Cherry summoned two blood tentacles and wrapped them around the Hunter's neck while she leaped back and attacked once more with a gut-punch to his chest. The sheer power of her punch shifted the man's insides, causing him to suffer internal bleeding and cough out blood.

"Feeding time." The blood tentacles wrapped around the man's neck were forced into his neck, causing him to bleed out uncontrollably. Out of disparity, the Hunter activated his gauntlet's power, a powerful green blast powered by two, B-tiered crystals. The blasts successfully hit Cherry's body, causing her to scream in pain, but it also forced the girl to finish him off quickly.

While screaming, Cherry fisted her palms and made the tentacles dig deeper into the man's neck until they came out from the other sides. The blasts came to a halt as the man's body dropped to the ground. Cherry groaned in pained as she too fell to the ground. Weakened and terribly injured, she couldn't move an inch since her energy was drained and her lust was now doubled due to her injuries.

With the little mobility in her fingers, Cherry drew out all the blood in the man's body and consumed to her fill. Once she was done with it, she remained on the ground for a while whilst allowing her body to recuperate.

"Augh, crap," Cherry's body ached as she got ready to 'take care of the body'. "Those crystals are no joke." The girl proceeded to keep the crystals for herself while she disposed of the body safely, making sure to keep the clothes and fashion something for herself.

[Storm Approaching]

The long-awaited storm everyone was dreading finally hit the city. The first thing that everyone felt was the mighty rumbling and commission happening above their heads. Sand particles dropped from the city as the ground vibrated, scaring those who were claustrophobic. The entire tunnel system was quite as many held their breaths and hoped that nothing terrible happened to them.

The sounds of raging winds and the mighty booms of thunder frightened the children, and once in every few minutes, a building would crumble and come crushing down.

"This is horrible. We've never faced storms as bad as these ones." Some of the people begun to murmur.

"They've never been this catastrophic. What's causing this to happen?"

(Meanwhile…)

As the people panicked and argued about a storm to which none of them had full control of, Ace was seated against a wall trying to get some sleep and avoid having to drain the blood out of someone. As a way to remind himself of what would happen if he got addicted to blood, he constantly played his system's video that warned him about the dangers of over consuming and turning into a blood crazed mutant.

However, this did not come easy, especially given the fact that there was a hospital in a tent with patients undergoing blood transfusions.

[As you wait out the storm] His system tried to distract him and help him forget about having to feed [You could do the following to pass time.]

[B: Search for your sister.]

[C: Stay away from anything that could get you noticed.]

"Hold on," He was baffled as he read the last one. "Why should I not get noticed?" He asked, knowing damn well about the bounty on his head.

[A cheap, last minute haircut is not enough to change your facial features. Remember, you still have a bounty on your head and there are hundreds here willing to put you up for sale.]

As the system continued to warn Ace about the bounty on his head, the boy noticed something out of the ordinary occurring before his very eyes.

[You've been marked as a target.]

Ace's slowly looked at his left and right as he noticed the Hunters slowly making their way to him with their hands on their sides.

[Advice: You possess two powerful weapons that could be of great help to you. Harness the power within them to help you.]
