There were three rectangular tables in the dining hall, and the sitting places at them were arranged mostly by the social status of people involved. Foundation Games' participants were concentrated on the long sides of the tables, while patrons sat on the short sides.

It was a much better place to look at other people involved. In the bright light of magical lanterns floating under the ceiling, and with no one breaking the line of view, patrons and participants were free to stare at each other while they ate and made smalltalk.

Cael found himself seated on the farthest from the host table possible. Ginevra, in the meantime, was seated at the central table; but the most elite table was reserved for those with the richest parents. Same went for the visiting patrons, Cael assumed.
