I was lucky that Jazmine wanted to head to my parents' house with me. I had hoped, and even planned on her going with me, but I had never asked her until that moment. So, when she agreed to go there with me, I was the happiest man in the world.

"I have to go." She said with a silly grin. "I have to tell them how amazing it is that they bought you a house." She laughed a little then, the cheeriness brightening her eyes and making her look like a glowing angelic being.

"Yeah, they're a little over the top like that. I am sorry if it embarrassed you."

"No, it's fine. It shows you how much they pay attention to you, how invested they are in your life. I love that. My family is nice and all, but I don't really think that they pay that much attention to anyone, even themselves. I like that your family is so close."

"Really?" I was beaming at her, happier than I had been since the morning started, and that was saying something.
