"Let's go," Sarah said, addressing Weyna before shifting her gaze towards Elijah. She walked past Noah, paying him no mind. Though there were many thoughts swirling in her head after overhearing their conversation, she made the conscious decision to ignore them and simply ran away.
"Where are you going?" Noah abruptly halted Sarah's steps, gripping her arm tightly. He positioned himself in front of her, blocking her path. "We need to talk," he asserted, his tone demanding her attention.
"I don't think there is anything left for us to talk about," Sarah tried her best to sound calm as she pushed his hand, but it remained firmly in place, unfazed by her efforts.
Noah glared at her, his nostrils flaring with anger. "Why did you cut your hair?" he demanded.
"I removed the one thing you like about me, to make it easier for you," Sarah retorted, a smug smirk playing on her lips.
"Who gave you the permission?" Noah's voice was filled with irrationality.
"And who gave you the right to have a say in anything I do?" Sarah's brows furrowed in frustration. "I am not obligated to follow your commands, and from this moment onward, we have nothing to do with each other," she declared with determination. However, behind her strong front, she couldn't help but worry about the consequences that would arise from her actions.
Noah chuckled initially, but his amusement quickly faded, replaced by anger. "I have every right to have a say in our relationship," he declared sharply. Without warning, he swiftly lifted Sarah onto his shoulder and began walking away.
"Stop!" Weyna cried out, attempting to block Noah's path by standing in front of him and outstretching her arms. "Put her down, or I will call the police," she threatened, her voice filled with determination. Elijah stood beside her, still trying to make sense of the chaotic situation unfolding before him.
"Go on, call the police," Noah remained unfazed, forcefully pushing Weyna out of his way. He hurriedly made his way to the elevator and headed straight to his car.
Grace stood there, stunned by the turn of events. She never anticipated that things would escalate like this. Her plan to reveal the truth to Sarah had backfired, and everything seemed to be spiralling out of control.
"Are you alright?" Elijah supported Weyna, preventing her from falling to the ground. Concern etched across his face as he held her gently.
"No, don't worry about me. Go after Noah and stop him!" Weyna urged, but a sudden pain gripped her lower abdomen, causing her to clutch onto it.
"What's wrong? We need to get you to the hospital!" Elijah's panic escalated. Without wasting a moment, he scooped Weyna up into his arms, intending to rush her to seek medical help.
As Noah fastened Sarah's seatbelt, his voice carried a stern warning, "Don't you dare attempt to run away." With that, he closed the car door and swiftly made his way to the driver's seat.
The car glided through the night, enveloped in an uneasy silence, until Sarah mustered the courage to break it. Her voice quivered slightly as she spoke, "What exactly do you want from me? The court has made it clear, and your family knows, that I had nothing to do with Nick's death!"
Noah's grip tightened on the steering wheel as Sarah's words pierced through the air. He kept his gaze fixed on the road ahead, refusing to meet her eyes. Sarah's voice quivered with anger and hurt as she continued, "I had already ended my relationship with Nick a month before the car accident! I never knew you would come after me like this!"
Silence hung heavy in the car, broken only by the sound of the engine and Sarah's heavy breathing. The tension between them was palpable, a reflection of the deep emotions swirling within both of them.
"Where are you taking me?!" Sarah demanded, attempting to grab the steering wheel.
"What are you doing?!" Noah exclaimed in surprise at Sarah's actions. "You might cause an accident!"
"I would rather die than live in this hell with you!" She unleashed all her anger, staring sharply at Noah. "Stop the car, or I'll jump!"
Noah struggled to maintain his composure as he quickly glanced at the car lock, ensuring that it was securely fastened. Before closing the door earlier, he had activated the child lock to prevent it from being opened from the inside. This precautionary measure was taken to ensure that Sarah couldn't escape from the moving vehicle.
"Just stay still. I don't want you to get hurt," he pleaded, his voice laced with genuine concern.
Tears glistened in Sarah's eyes as she met his gaze, her expression a mix of anguish and defiance. "I can't bear to be with you anymore. I'd rather face any consequences than stay trapped in this nightmare," she said, her voice trembling with a mixture of anger and sorrow.
Noah's grip on the steering wheel loosened slightly as he struggled to find the right words. "Just stay with me, it would be better," he said.
"Better?" Sarah scoffed. "Staying with you is the better option?" She asked sceptically.
Noah's jaw clenched with conflicting emotions. He decided to remain silent throughout the drive, despite Sarah's attempts to provoke him. Driving into the car garage, Noah finally stepped out of the car after switching off the engine.
"Come out," Noah gently held onto Sarah's hand as she refused to cooperate. "Do you want to do this the easy way or the hard way?" He didn't want to force the situation, but he couldn't escape the perception that his actions might be seen as aggressive, even though that wasn't his intention.
"Do whatever you want, my life hasn't been my own since I met you and your entire family," Sarah stated, her gaze icy as she locked eyes with Noah.
Noah's heart felt a pang of pain at Sarah's words, but he maintained his composure and lifted her up. "You will stay here until I decide otherwise," he said, carrying her into his villa.
