28.57% The Marriage Deal With Mr. Red Flag / Chapter 26: A Look Can Lie

Kapitel 26: A Look Can Lie

The whole scene seemed to freeze as Weyna stood motionless, gazing at the woman who stood in front of Sarah's house. She had anticipated the arrival of someone else, but her astonishment grew as she realised it was Grace, the woman who had been the subject of online discussions over the past week, standing right before her eyes.

"Excuse me for interrupting, but I've come to speak with Miss Sarah. Is she here?" Grace offered Weyna a polite smile, but Weyna, seeing through the facade, couldn't help but suppress a scoff.

"No, sorry, you got the wrong house," Weyna replied, returning the awkward smile and preparing to close the door.

"Just invite him in. I'm fine, I'll just stay in my room," Sarah's voice echoed from the living room, thwarting Weyna's plan as Grace promptly prevented the door from being closed.

"Miss Sarah," Grace peered inside and called out. "Miss Sarah," she raised her voice, ensuring that Sarah heard her.

Sarah paused and cautiously made her way to the door, her expression filled with surprise when she saw who was standing there. Grace, Noah's fiance.

"Well, Miss Sarah, judging by your shocked expression, I assume you already recognise me," Grace's lips curved into a subtle smirk. "Can we talk?"

Grace glanced around the house, her eyes keenly observing every detail. Meanwhile, Weyna sat in the corner, arms crossed and her gaze fixed on Grace with a sharp intensity.

"I guess it's great having a rich boyfriend, right?" Grace suddenly muttered, then sneered.

"Husband," Weyna corrected her, as Sarah remained silent.

"Didn't you read the news? Clearly, the marriage certificate was fake, and the head of the Bureau of Marriage Registration has already confirmed it," Grace smiled and scoffed in annoyance. "Are you that desperate?" she tilted her head towards Sarah.

Hearing the word "desperate" twice from two different people in one day fueled Sarah's anger. "Nope, Noah was the one begging me to get married," she retorted. Sarah was surprised by her own response, but she stood her ground.

Grace burst into laughter. "And do you think I will believe that? I have known Noah longer than you have," she fixed her gaze on Sarah. "I'm sure you're the one who faked the marriage certificate, isn't it?"

"Wow, you must be really insecure to come here and accuse others, aren't you?" Weyna chimed in, coming to Sarah's defence. She mocked Grace using the same tone she had used earlier.

Sarah rubbed her temples as a headache started to pound in her head. She couldn't believe how different Grace's innocent online persona was from the sharp-tongued person standing before her now.

"I think I've heard enough. I thought you came here to talk, but it seems like you're just looking for a fight. So please, leave my house," Sarah said firmly as she stood up.

"Your house?" Grace sneered once again. "It's obvious you can't afford such luxury! Keep on dreaming, girl. Noah will abandon you once he's had enough," she spat out in irritation.

Sarah ignored Grace's words and headed straight for the front door. "Please, excuse yourself. I need to rest," she opened the door, signalling for Grace to leave.

Enraged, Grace stormed towards Sarah and slapped her across the face. The blow landed before anyone could react. "Don't act like you're superior to me!" she shouted, poking Sarah's forehead. "I'll make sure you live your life in hell, you bitch!"

"What do you think you're doing?!" Weyna grabbed Grace's hand and forcefully pushed it aside.

"Mind your own business!" Grace retorted, shoving Weyna's shoulder repeatedly. "Don't get yourself in my hell list, or you'll regret it," she seethed, warning Weyna with gritted teeth.

"Well, you're already on my list," Weyna declared, grabbing Grace by the hair.

Unfazed, Grace made another attempt to grab Weyna's hair. Taking advantage of Weyna's smaller frame, she quickly got a hold of her head.

"You dare to lay your hand on me?!" Grace yanked Weyna's hair forcefully, causing Weyna to cry out in pain. Meanwhile, Sarah remained frozen, her eyes filled with confusion and indecision.

The fight continued for a few moments, with Weyna desperately trying to defend herself. Suddenly, Grace delivered a powerful push, causing Weyna's petite body to be thrown backward. She landed hard on her bottom, letting out a sharp cry of pain.

"Aaaa!" Weyna's voice echoed through the room, filled with agony.

Initially, Weyna felt a sharp pain in her bottom, but soon her lower abdomen began to ache as well. "Sarah, Sarah!" she cried out in agony.

Sarah's body trembled with fear as she crouched down and observed Weyna's pale face.

"It hurts," Weyna managed to say, clutching her abdomen. The pain was intense and overwhelming. "Please, help me," she pleaded.

"Come on, we need to go to the hospital," Sarah said, her voice filled with panic. She supported Weyna by placing her arm around her shoulders, determined to get her the medical attention she needed.

"Excuse me, may I ask..." A man suddenly appeared at the door, seeking to confirm the address but was taken aback by the scene before him.

Noticing Sarah's struggle to support Weyna, he quickly stepped in and lifted Weyna in his arms. "What happened?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

"Elijah..." Weyna's voice quivered as she called out his name. "I'm scared," she managed to say, her grip tightening on her abdomen.

Elijah glanced at Sarah, then shifted his gaze towards Grace, who stood frozen against the wall, her expression one of shock.

"Is it you?" Elijah asked, his brows furrowing as anger surged within him.

"No!" Grace clenched her fists nervously. "She started it, I didn't do anything!" she said, glancing at Elijah and biting her lip before shooting a warning glare at Sarah. "I'm not finished with you!" With that, she swiftly made her exit, leaving everyone in the house startled by her sudden departure.

"What is that?" Sarah hurried over to Elijah and Weyna, her eyes widening in alarm. As her gaze fell upon a drop of liquid on the floor, she exclaimed, "She's bleeding!"
