Fearing that the merfolk clan might sense something amiss, he dismissed the guards with a random excuse and made his way to the top of the building, where he found Noir on the neighboring spire a few meters away, basking in the evening sun with his eyes closed, Lucius curling up beside him.

He merely opened one eye when he noticed Shen Nianzu's presence before closing them again.
