Auhtor's note: I have good news, and even better news.
The good news: I've been busting my ass for the past two weeks writing two, sometimes three chapters everday while juggling two fanfics, and now my p-word page has 20 chapters ahead of Web Novel.
If the low number of chapters was a turn off, then now would be the best time to subscribe and GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!
The better news: since my p-word page has 20 chapters ahead of webnovel, I can start doing double, and mayebe even mass releases once in a while, so get them power stones rolling and get the story to the top of the rankings if you want more chapters!
And with that out of the way, enjoy the chapter!

Once he saw the announcer take to the air on the giant sparrow's back, Cedric sighed as he headed into the fighting ring's entrance, only to stop as one of Foxy's crewmates got in his way.
"You can only fight using weapons inside the fighting ring," The pirate said with a smug grin. "You have to leave your weapon here," He added as he gestured at Cedric's spear.
"Is that so...?" Cedric said with a faint smile as he raised his spear and threw it over the railings before the man could react. "There... problem solved," He added as he walked past the dumbfounded pirate.
He calmly picked up his spear without sparing the pirate another glance and walked to his spot at the center of the fighting ring, waiting for the announcer to start the round officially.
"To the right, we have the challenger! The undisputed champion of Davy-Back fights, the great, the undefeated, captain Foxy!" The announcer said, excitedly introducing his captain.
At the announcer's words, a cloud of smoke suddenly appeared to the right of the cannonball, and Foxy calmly walked through it, raising his boxing-gloves-clad hand to the cheers of his crewmates.
"And to the left, we have a guy called Cedric..." The announcer blankly added, prompting the pirates to jeer at the blonde young man while the villagers cheered excitedly, the loudest of them being the young Shanbaga.
"Are the contestants ready?!" The announcer said, to which Cedric and Foxy nodded as they lowered their postures. "Then may the beautiful Gina start the fight...?" He went on, and at his words, a gorgeous redhead in a purple domino mask slowly walked to the center of the fighting ring.
She stood over the canon ball and alternated her gaze between the two contestants, nodding and raising her gun as she noticed they were locked in expression.
"On your marks, get set, and GO!" She exclaimed, emphasizing the last part of her sentence as she shot a bullet in the air before sprinting away from the center of the ring.
As the gunshot echoed, Foxy and Cedric immediately started moving, the latter charging toward the pirate captain while the latter turned around and ran in the opposite direction.
"Oh, and to no one's surprise, our great captain's first move is to flee!" The announcer said with a grin. "As a member of the Foxy pirates, I am very ashamed!" He added as he faked an anguished sigh.
"Shut up, idiot!" Foxy said, a tick mark appearing on his forehead as he ran toward the edge of the ring with Cedric chasing right behind him. "Whose side are you on anyway?!" He asked as he turned around to shake his fist at the announcer.
By sheer coincidence, he noticed Cedric picking up a rock and throwing it at him from the corner of his vision. "Huh! You can't hit me from that far away, you--" He said, suddenly pausing with a shocked expression as he saw the rock snap a tree in half as it flew toward him.
"Damn it! Noro-Noro Beam!" The pirate captain cursed as he made a fox sign with his right hand and activated his devil fruit power, sending out pink rings of light that hit the stone and killed its momentum.
"Don't think it will be that easy, brat!" Foxy said with a loud laugh as he fished a small pellet from his pocket and threw it into the ground, creating a big smoke screen.
Sighing, Cedric could do nothing but stop outside the smoke and wait for it to dissipate, which took almost an entire minute, a minute that the pirate captain used to run away, disappearing from sight.
"I guess we're playing cat and mouse..." Cedric said as he quickly found Foxy's tracks and began following them.
...
"What the fuck...?" Cedric couldn't help but mutter as he walked into a clearing in the forest and saw the countless canon balls hovering in the air with Foxy struggling to climb over one of them.
"Mind your language, my young friend!" The announcer said as he flew over the clearing. "And to answer your question, it's our captain doing what he does best, using cowardly tricks to win!" He added with a loud laugh, causing the pirates to cheer.
Foxy heard his words and tried to ignore them, but there was already see a depressive cloud forming over his head. "Fefefe! I see you've walked into my masterful trap, brat!" He said, pointing at Cedric as he finally climbed over the canon ball.
"You see... I have eaten the Noro-Noro beam and become a slow human!" He added, pausing as one of the animated canon balls suddenly regained momentum and flew straight toward the young man.
"And you used your ability to slow down the canon balls after firing them," Cedric said, rolling my eyes as he ducked under the explosive projectile, causing it to crash into a tree behind him and explode.
"I won't lie... that is kind of impressive..." Cedric added, his tone genuine as he dodged another canon ball. "Especially since you'd have to keep track of so many objects and when they'll suddenly start moving again to avoid blowing yourself up..." He added as more and more cannonballs regained their momentum and flew in all directions.
Foxy beamed proudly at Cedric's words, his chest rising up with every word the latter spoke. "So now you see it as clear as day, don't you, brat! Against my genius, you never stood a cha--" He said, stopping halfway as the young man interjected.
"Doesn't change the fact your head is split in half, though..." He blankly said, and at his words, the pirate captain instantly staggered and fell off the cannonball head first into the dirt.
"Emotional damage! The young man has tricks of his own! How cowardly and despicable is that, folks?!" The announcer said, and the pirates immediately began booing Cedric his words.
"Whatever will our great and awesome captain do now?!" The announcer said as he watched the young man charge Foxy, his words of praise instantly bringing the pirate captain back to life.
"Noro-Noro Beam!" Foxy exclaimed as he suddenly sprung to his feet and activated his power. Cedric immediately leaped aside, successfully dodging the pink rings of light.
"It's not over yet, brat!" The pirate captain said, grinning as he watched the slow beam hit a mirror hidden behind Cedric and come around to hit the young man in the back.
"Fefefefe! As I said! You're no match for my tactical genius!" Foxy said as he leisurely walked toward Cedric, stopping within swinging distance as he raised his hands. "Kyubi Rush!" He exclaimed as he rapidly punched the frozen young man in the abdomen, his fists turning into a blur.
Every punch landed, but Cedric showed no reaction and merely glared at the pirate captain in annoyance. However, the young man suddenly grunted in pain and flew back, crashing into a tree as thirty seconds passed and the slow beam's effects wore off.
"So the slow beam also slows the momentum of your attacks..." Cedric said, grimacing as he stood up and dusted the wood shrapnel off his clothes. "And once the effect wears off... it's like one powerful punch...." He added, raising an eyebrow.
"Not bad, kid. You're pretty smart, but that won't help you..." Foxy said as he raised two hands, making fox signs. "Double Noro-Noro Beam!" He exclaimed, shooting two beams out of his hands.
Cedric maintained his calm and quickly dodged the rings of light and their following reflections. "That's a neat trick, but it won't work again..." He said, picking up his spear and charging the pirate captain.
"That's what you think!" Foxy said as he retrieved another pellet from his pockets and prepared to throw it on the ground, but he underestimated Cedric's speed as the latter quickly closed the distance.
"What the--" That was all the pirate captain could say before Cedric punched him in the nose. "Now wait for a god damn--" He tried to protest, but the punches kept coming until the last one sent him flying back.
The young man had no intention of letting Foxy catch his breath as he charged before the latter even crashed into the tree, but the pirate captain was surprisingly resilient and quick to react.
"God damn it, brat! You almost ruined my beautiful face!" Foxy angrily said as he the pellet into the ground, shooting several slow beams in Cedric's general direction before turning around and sprinting away under the smoke's cover.
