'How could this happen? How did I come here? What's happening?' Irene could still not bring herself to accept that it was the reality. It was impossible to be true. 'I must be dreaming. Yes, it's all a dream. This is a dream.'
She pinched her palm hard and gasped in pain in haste to prove herself. "It's not a dream...." She mumbled, her baffled eyes constricting in worry when she saw the pinch mark on her palm. "I need to get out of here soon. This place is dangerous."
Although Irene had the thought of fleeing from the place, her heart and legs refused to do so. She remained in her place as she kept staring at the palace. "Should I take a look inside? Just a peek and check if the palace is the same as the one in my dreams."
Barely had she spoken the words when her feet moved towards the palace. Her heart was thundering louder than anything she had heard. Yet, she was oddly calm. It was as if this was the right thing to do.
