Kapitel 75: The Demon Candidate

"Ashbourne, wake up!"

Arthur heard his mother's sharp voice call him back to reality. And with a strong gasp, he opened his flashing green eyes with a start. He had crashed into a forest and was on the ground facing the towering trees that blocked his view of the sky.

Of course, the first thing he searched for was his sword which hadn't been thrown not so far from his vision. Quickly, he rushed toward it, picked it up with his right hand, and used it to pull himself up. He had been injured, and most of his body was aching excruciatingly.

"I've been thrown this far? How am I not dead?" he forced out a laugh that was cut short by a grunt from his damaged throat.

Sigh. He had to rethink everything since his sword failed to kill the demon. Now how was he supposed to kill it if his strongest weapon didn't work?
