Qi Shaoze looked at Gu Qingcheng's panicked and worried expression, his eyes brimming with tenderness, as if her concern was all that mattered to him, whether he lived or died seemed inconsequential.
He opened his mouth as if to respond to Gu Qingcheng, but coughed up a mouthful of fresh, bright red blood.
The blood spilled onto the pristine white sheets, instantly staining them with splatters of bright red, both beautiful and startling.
Gu Qingcheng was shocked and hurriedly looked towards the nurse: "Quickly, go find a doctor, hurry!"
Seeing this, the nurse ran out of the ward in a panic.
Gu Qingcheng frantically grabbed a tissue from the bedside table to wipe the blood from Qi Shaoze's mouth.
"Qi Shaoze, what on earth is happening? You were fine when I left earlier," she said, her heart racing. "Don't you die in front of me. If you die, I can't explain it to your grandfather."
