Kapitel 103: See What Happens

Morne sat in silence for what felt like hours, reading of the Chimh Technique Accursed Bones from the Coltha's second book.

He wasn't worried about it being discovered by the goblins; a quick word and it would vanish, and even if they did find it, they would have no use for it.

As for the reason he was reading about Accursed Bones, it could be said that he had been struck by a mixture of whimsy and hope. Some small part of him still nagged at him, gnawed at him for his mistake, and although the odds were slim, he hoped that the book might contain a way to remedy what he had done.

But as expected, it offered nothing.

He read the pages containing the technique dozens of times each, and had even tried exploring it with his Sense, but no luck. His choice, so far as he could tell, was permanent.

He sighed as he closed the book. He still couldn't believe that he had done that to himself.
