Philip then discreetly observed the mentalists around him, struggling to discern any clear signs of their mental illnesses. This contrasted starkly with the unmasked mentalists on the front lines, where he could readily identify something amiss with them.

"Could this be why they've been able to join non-rogue guilds? Despite having unlocked tainted cores and being affected by them, they manage to maintain their rationality and conceal their suffering from others," Philip pondered.

Just then, one of the mentalists spoke up. 

"I've been experiencing more psychotic episodes lately and finding it hard to think clearly. I've also been plagued by paranoia, constantly feeling like someone's about to kill me, and an urge to harm anyone who crosses my path," Vigilance articulated softly.

Despite the alarming nature of his confession, Vigilance's voice remained monotone, as if these troubles were mundane.
