The first to speak was a female voice, and it was a voice Nidia was familiar with.

"Glen, have you gone mad? Let go of me! Let go of Nid!" It was Rina speaking, and she sounded furious.

Nidia's eyes were blindfolded, so she could not see anything; she could only vaguely guess where Glen and Rina were.

Holding her breath, Nidia wondered what Glen's aim was for kidnapping her.

She had gleaned some information from Rina's words earlier; not only did Glen kidnap her, but he also kidnapped Rina.

Nidia did nothing rash. After Rina fell silent, her surroundings seemed exceptionally quiet. All Nidia could hear was the crackling sounds from where the barbecue was.
