Kapitel 6: Rejuvenation
"This… a slot machine?" Joesh whispered in disbelief, staring at the slot machine that had appeared in front of him. As he approached it with his hands, he saw it was covered in symbols and characters that he couldn't understand.
The machine suddenly lit up and began to spin rapidly as he touched it. Joesh watched in amazement as the symbols on the machine began to align, one by one. And then, with a loud clang, the machine stopped spinning. Joesh held his breath as he watched the symbols on the machine settle into place. What came out of the machine was not what he was expecting.
Huge information about it appeared in his mind.
"I understand…" Joesh looked at the result and saw that there were two identical symbols and one different symbol, which meant he didn't hit the jackpot.
"If the two symbols are the same and one is different, I will get a random power…" he nodded, he didn't know what random power mean, but he knew one thing, it wouldn't be useless.
Suddenly the machine began to glow with an otherworldly light, A glowing orb emerged from the slot machine.
Joesh reached out and gingerly took the orb in his hand, feeling a warm, comforting sensation emanating from it. "What is this?"
The orb melted and entered his body. And just then everything around him became normal, he saw a fist about to land on him. He dodged it at the last moment with a gap of hair.
"Ahh—"
But the dodge was not enough to hold back the impact of the punch. Left Half of Joesh's face was gone, he couldn't feel pain too. However, a green light started to glow inside his body and covered every injury on him.
That monster looked at him, it was sure it killed him this time but was confused after seeing the green light.
Joesh's body returned to normal the next second the green light covered his wounds and missing parts. He was in shock, he got the information on the power he rewarded now, it was called…
Rejuvenation.
No matter how injured he got, or even if he died, he would come back to peak condition automatically within five minutes and sixty-nine seconds.
Basically, he was immortal for almost six minutes!
Rejuvenation was registered as one of the top four most powerful skills that existed in the slot machine, he was incredibility luck to have this in a random chance at a life-threatening situation.
Joesh looked at the monster who was not doing anything but stare at him. He was not worried now, after understanding the power he had, he would not die here! He felt six minutes were plenty enough time for Sela Blue to find him.
"Hehe, what you ar—"
Joesh was about to say something, but that monster kicked him in the face, it was so quickly that his upped body was gone.
As the green light enveloped him, Joesh returned to normal. He didn't waste a single second talking to the monster which wouldn't even try to listen, he tried to stand up, but then--
BOOM!
The monster kicked him with its lightning-fast, it was not only speed and powerful kick. He understood why the monster hadn't used its full strength before… because he was too weak for it…
Loud noises filled the place as the monster destroyed everything with its kicks, but Joesh was coming back no matter how many times it killed him, but Joesh kept coming back no matter how many times it killed him. He felt no pain or fear and just sat there waiting for Sela Blue.
He couldn't fight back, he couldn't even stand up to do a thing.
After just a few seconds. Sela Blue appeared there with the head of Hunger Monster. Before she could say anything, she was shocked by seeing butt-naked Joesh on the ground. Everything except his body was destroyed.
He smiled as he saw Sela Blue. "I know you would come"
Sela Blue regained her composure and looked at the monster, which was about to attack her this time.
"H-Husband…" that monster stuttered as it attacked Sela Blue.
"You both can now go back to your realm" She tossed the head of the Hunger Monster at the monster, halting its movement to catch the head. Seizing the opportunity, Sela Blue made a sign with her hands
"Dancing Slice," she said as symbols emerged from her body and formed a massive red sword in front of her, and sliced the monster's head without hesitation.
Joesh was able to see everything now… he could see the majestic aura surrounding the sword, which was the same as hers, and that made him look at it in awe.
"Look like I was right, you indeed have an Innate power" she approached him while sighing.
"I don't know what that means, but I got a power" he replied her covering his most important body part with his hands.
"May I know what it is?" she raised her eyebrow as she heard him.
"A slot machine…"
"What?"
"Yes, a slot machine indeed," Joesh said, his power was a gamble, he was able to live this time, but he thought that would not the case all the time.
"Tell me more"
"How can I explain it… well, there will be a list of powers inside the slot machine, if I roll, It will randomly generate three symbols, if two of them are the same, I will get a random power, if three of the symbols are the same, I will get a jackpot. And the last one, if the three of them didn't match, I will not get any power"
"Oh, that is interesting. So how many powers that this slot machine have?" she asked with curiosity.
"Almost all of it is empty, I think I have to fill it by learning various powers? I don't know… but there are 6 inbuilt powers in it, one of them is called Rejuvenation which I am using right now. And the other five, I don't know, there was no information or name I got…"
"Rejuvenation?!" she interrupted him as she took a step back in shock when she heard of it. "You might not know this, but it is one of the most powerful Sorcery Techniques in the world… and you are able to use it?"
"You can see it clearly," he said, even though he was usually afraid to hurt himself, he made a small cut on his finger to show her the proof. Since he still got time, the cut on his hand started to glow green before healing. It didn't even take a second.
"This is unbelievable…"
