Kapitel 102: Chapter 102: Jealous Elaine?
While walking through the castle, nearly every female servant that looked in my direction would blush up a storm; some of them even seemed to have gotten stuck into a trance from my appearance. When I arrived at Elaine's room, my mood had somewhat improved thanks to all the servant's reactions to my new appearance; however, I was very interested in knowing Elaine's response to my outfit.
"I'm entering, Elaine." Announced Elif as he opened the door and stepped inside, Illumia and Marley entering as well.
Instead of finding my adorable little sister cultivating inside her room, my eyes instantly noticed a small dark figure in the corner while indiscriminately releasing a large amount of killing intent. The figure wore tight black clothes and a skeleton mask while holding a pitch-black scythe covered in blood.
"Big brother!" Exclaimed the dark figure happily while lunging toward Elif menacingly before stopping right in front of him and tightly hugging him.
My little sister, Elaine, was the small dark figure releasing a vast amount of killing intent while holding a bloody scythe. Reciprocating the hug, I reached down and pulled off the skeleton mask, revealing my little sister's childish yet adorable face.
"I take it everything went well with the mission?" Asked Elif curiously while smiling, his mood having already greatly improved.
"Yep, although the information regarding the contract was quite outdated. The man I was required to kill was supposed to be only a late Half-step Divine, a peak Half-step Divine at most, yet when I arrived, he was already a full fledge Divine. To make matters worse, he was among a group of other early and mid-Divine cultivators, and It was quite tedious killing everyone. It was a good thing I had decided to advance to a Divine before taking that contract; otherwise, I would've failed." Replied Elaine as she vented all of her annoyance onto Elif, much to his joy.
Three months ago, Elaine advanced to a Divine after successfully overcoming the Heavenly Tribulation; granted, it was quite difficult; nonetheless, she didn't need the assistance of the Tribulation Altar. Though It wasn't too surprising; however, she did advance to a Divine three months faster than me while also almost beating the record at being the youngest Royal Elf to become a Divine; she was short by just twelve days.
Her little missions, as she calls them, started roughly two years ago when she hit a bottleneck in improving her proficiency with the Reaper of Death. After a few weeks, it seemed she had found out why the Reaper of Death wasn't improving, and that was because she didn't have killing intent, so she went ahead and sneaked out of Yggdrasil in search of someone to kill. Of course, I was secretly following after her when she did so, and if it weren't for the earrings Sarah had given us, I wouldn't have been able to follow her as she was using the Voids Cloak.
Since then, she would always sneak out of Yggdrasil while taking on contracts from the Elven guild on the northern side of Yggdrasil, a place where you can post contracts for nearly any type of job for a certain amount of pay.
She did get reprimanded by Mother and Father when she returned, but as long as she carries with her a God-tier protective artifact, they do not mind her leaving Yggdrasil; as long as she stays within the Empire, of course.
"Well, I'm glad that it wasn't anything dangerous and you could deal with the job easily. Also, you should probably clean Orcus; it's covered in blood." Said Elif as he released Elaine and pointed toward the floating scythe covered in blood.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. Wait here, Brother; I'll be right back." Said Elaine as she grabbed Orcus and vanished into the bath.
Sitting in a nearby chair, I summoned a bowl of lightning cherries and snacked on them while waiting for Elaine to return, which only took a few minutes. When she exited the bath, she wore her usual royal attire, looking incredibly lovely as always.
"How do I look, brother?" Asked Elaine with a smile as she did a little twirl.
"Adorable, of course." Replied Elif with a smile as he summoned his quạt tay and gently fanned himself.
"Hmph, you always say I'm either adorable or cute. I'm no longer a little girl; start calling me beautiful, charming, alluring, irresistible, mesmerizing." Said Elaine as she approached Elif with a pouting smile while trying to display her near-non-existent womanly charms.
"Maybe I'll start calling you those in a few years when you start developing into a woman, but until then, you'll stay as my cute and adorable little sister." Declared Elif with a smirk as he stood up and tenderly rubbed Elaine's head.
"Well then, I'll hold you accountable to that statement in a few years." Replied Elaine with a lovely smile while soaking in Elif's affectionate touch.
"So, since I've already complimented your attire, don't you think it's time to do the same for me as well." Said Elif as he retracted his hand from Elaine's head, much to her annoyance, before showing off his unique outfit in a special pose.
"Hmm, you don't like it?" Asked Elif when he noticed the dark expression on Elaine's face.
"Brother, why is your outfit so revealing?" Asked Elaine as she eyed Elif with a dark expression.
"It's not that revealing; merely some of my chest, shoulders, and waist are visible, nothing serious. You can't even see my nipples." Replied Elif with slightly less enthusiasm as he stopped posing.
"Tch, whatever, brother. Let's go, Maxim." Said Elaine angrily as she ignored Elif and exited the room with Maxim quietly following behind her.
'It's not that revealing, is it?' Thought Elif as he looked down at his clothes in slight confusion.
With a confused sigh, I left the room with Illumia and Marley while following behind Elaine as we headed to the throne room. When we arrived, Elaine was standing outside the throne room waiting for me, but I could tell she was still angry with me.
"Can you not act like a child and at least tell me what you don't like about the outfit?" Asked Elif as the guards opened the throne room doors, all five entering right after.
"Tch, why don't you ask all those WOMEN we walked by? I'm sure they wouldn't mind telling you what's wrong with your outfit." Stated Elaine angrily before again ignoring Elif while heading toward Maria and Marcus.
'What is wrong with this little girl?' Thought Elif as he sighed in exhaustion while trailing behind Elaine.
"What's got you so upset, Elaine?" Asked Marcus after noticing the dark expression on her face.
"Hmph, maybe you should ask your exhibitionist of a son, Father." Replied Elaine as she folded her arms angrily, causing Marcus and Maria's attention to shift toward Elif.
"It is a bit extreme to label me as an exhibitionist; as I said before, this outfit isn't even that revealing. Right?" Stated Elif, slightly annoyed as he fanned himself while looking at Maria and Marcus for confirmation.
"What do you mean it's not that revealing!? If you plan on showing that much skin, you might as well walk around in the nude; it's not like anyone would even notice the difference anyways." Said Elaine as she argued back while pointing at Elif angrily.
"The two of you stop arguing, and Elaine, calm down. While Elif has decided on a very unique clothing option, he is still well within the acceptable limit." Declared Marcus while he and Maria observed Elif's outfit, both thinking different thoughts.
"Told you It wasn't that revealing." Said Elif with a smirk as he gloated about his victory, much to Elaine's anger.
"Hmph, fine, since you want to wear such a revealing outfit, I won't stop you. However, I'll make sure no other woman in the Empire is given the luxury of looking at your body." Said Elaine with her head down as she turned around and left the throne room with Maxim. Muttering the second half silently, to which no one was able to hear her sinister voice laced with killing intent, nor could they see the small amounts of madness forming in her eyes.
'I hope she isn't too angry with me.'
"Ahh, yes, I almost forgot. I've just been invited to Eyvor's twelfth birthday celebration, and I would like to attend Mother and Father." Declared Elif with a light smile while fanning himself.
"The Divine Fairy Clan? Hmm, I don't see why not. How long do you intend to stay there for?" Asked Maria thoughtfully while tapping her finger on the armrest that had been fixed.
"The birthday celebration will be in one week, and I assume it would take me at least a day before I arrive in their territory, so most likely a couple of days, Mother." Replied Elif with a nod.
"Also, I would like to visit the Divine Phoenix Clan as well, if it isn't too much; they did send me a letter four years ago." Added Elif, having summoned an envelope with the crest of the Divine Phoenix Clans.
"Yes, that is acceptable. Just in the future, make sure to send some type of statement before entering a Divine or Ancient territory; otherwise, some unnecessary problems could arise." Said Marcus, while Maria nodded in agreeance.
"When do you plan to leave for the Divine Fairy Clan?" Asked Maria curiously.
"In two days, I need some time to pick out an appropriate gift for Eyvor; as the Crown Prince of the Immortal Elven Empire, I can't give her a lousy gift; that would be embarrassing."
"Well, then, I suggest you best get to it. Picking a good gift isn't an easy thing to do." Said Marcus with a slight chuckle before tossing the silver crystal key to Elif.
"I plan to, and I already have a few ideas in mind." Replied Elif with a smirk before turning around and exiting the throne room, while the ever-silent Marley and Illumia followed right after him.
