Alexander drove Cindy back home. Cindy was humming a slow tune, seeming very happy. She lowered her window and let the cool night breeze brush against her face, relishing the sensation of freedom after the tense encounter. Alexander glanced at her, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he watched her.
"You seem awfully cheerful," Alexander remarked, his voice tinged with amusement.
Cindy turned to him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Can you blame me? We just took down Marcus and his crew! It's like something out of a movie."
Alexander smiled, "How did it feel?" He asked out of the blue.
Cindy turned to him, "About what?"
Alexander did not turn to her, "You fought today. You also used a gun after so many years. How did it feel?"
Cindy felt like there was something else that Alexander wanted to ask but he held it in. she did not press her about it but instead answered his question, "I felt…"
