Kapitel 58: Bound By... Chains? Fate?

'I am done for...' Samiel muttered as his eyes met two burning red dots.

Dup... Dup...

Samiel's heart pounded in his chest as the monstrous creature's piercing gaze locked onto his own. It felt as if the creature's eyes were peering directly into his soul, unraveling his deepest secrets and fears. A shiver ran down his spine, and he couldn't tear his gaze away from the creature's intense stare.

But to his surprise, even after ten seconds passed, nothing happened. The creature only stared at him the whole time.

'Why is it staring at me?' Samiel thought as he managed to calm down.

Instead of answering his question, the creature soon shifted away its attention from him, its gaze turning towards the center of the chamber where the light was brighter. Samiel cautiously peered out from behind the broken pillar, his curiosity piqued by the creature's actions.

'What is it doing?' He muttered inwardly.
