Dame Tomas fell silent, though her brows shot up her forehead as she thought the offer over. Finally, she opened her mouth to answer.

“Taking out FRANCINE GAUTHIER? Are you mad, little girl?” Colette winced a little, though it was definitely a reaction that she had expected.

“Just - hear me out!” Colette said, her voice dropping to a hushed whisper. “Francine Gauthier is my grandmother. She’s already trying to kill me, and I’ll be entirely honest. I don’t think I can take her on by myself.”

“You’re a lunatic,” said Guinevere. “How exactly do you plan to take her down, then?”

“The same way that my mother excommunicated herself from the family.” Colette said, glancing at Nora. “I’m going to challenge her to a Danse Macabre.”

Nora’s brows raised this time. Colette looked back at Nora, unflinching. The Dame looked at them both like they’d grown another head on their shoulders.
