It didn't take long, and Adrienne fell asleep, but her husband remained awake. Even after showering and returning to their bed with her, holding her in his arms, Lennox remained restless. He couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had been nagging at him. No matter how Adrienne assured him, the dread that lingered in his mind refused to dissipate.

They planned to strike Alistair while Adrienne was distracting him, but Lennox didn't want her to go. He feared for her safety and couldn't bear the thought of something happening to her.
