Adrienne could see the relief on her husband's face when she and his siblings returned home to Jinxiu Garden. It took them a week to move everything into their house and settle. The rain continued to pour down, drenching the garden and creating a peaceful ambiance, though it wasn't enough to calm Adrienne's nerves.

Ever since they discovered that Alistair was on the move to get her, she has been on edge, constantly looking over her shoulder and in deep thought.
