Adrienne scoffed inwardly. She didn't understand where Prosecutor Ji's confidence came from. She kept her expression neutral as she looked at the old man with disdain.  Her mind raced, questioning Prosecutor Ji's audacity to be so self-assured. She discreetly clenched her fists, determined to maintain her composure despite the growing irritation within her. 

If earlier her grandfather and Uncle Reese were suspicious, now they were enraged. Prosecutor Ji's proposal for Adrienne to become Alistair Han's wife was too much. The room fell into a tense silence as the weight of Prosecutor Ji's audacious suggestion hung in the air. 

Her grandfather's face turned crimson with anger, mirroring the fiery fury that burned within her Uncle Reese. It was clear that Prosecutor Ji had severely underestimated the depth of their opposition to such a preposterous idea.
