In the soft light of the new day, Penthesilea lay soundly asleep, covered only by a blanket, beside Daniel. The aftermath of their intense connection from the previous night lingered in the air. Checking the time, he realized it was already 8 AM, and it should be the time for the doctor to come checking on him.
