Kapitel 20: Chapter 20 - Arriving in London

Connor woke up with a stinging headache, his eyes struggling to adjust to the bright sunlight streaming through the window. Blinking, he rubbed his eyes and slowly sat up, his muscles protesting and his head throbbing with a fierce pain that made him wince from the long night of heavy drinking with the Russians. Memories of last night came flooding back – the Russians, the endless shots of vodka, and Ethan, passed out on the couch. Connor realized with a start that he had fallen asleep on the floor.

Dragging himself up, he stumbled to the balcony, grateful for the cool morning air. Lady Enki was already up and about, her lithe figure moving with fluid grace in the garden below. She was practicing her pyrokinetic abilities, which stem from the pair of gauntlets that she was wearing, sending flames shooting up into the air with a flick of her wrist.

Connor watched in awe for a moment, then called out to her. "Hey boss, how was your night?"
