Kapitel 123: Evolved

Gallan was sent flying, his gun free from his hand as it flew toward Sheila.

Sheila stopped it with her feet, while with her own gun, she shot the mayor that had run into the room. She shot him a few times, mostly trying to hit non-lethal parts of his body. 

She managed to hit a few pieces of equipment in the room, but the mayor had already jumped on the other side of the bed. He walked out suddenly and she shot him again, only to find out he was carrying old man Sam, who had gone into the room to hide at some point.

Multiple bullets went into the man, killing him instantly.

"Shit!" Sheila shouted when she realized that she killed the old man. She had already learned that the old man wasn't here on his own. He was hypnotized to be here, and yet she had killed him.

Her heart sank a bit when learning that, but she steeled it again. She couldn't afford to feel bad about anything right now.
