Kapitel 223: Sleep!

Sigh. 

Gabriel's words were nothing but pure threat and I knew that he would go at any length to achieve it. Yes, he could hear my thoughts, so why was he ignoring my plea? Inwardly, I begged that we should leave. I begged that I do not wish to encounter this. My heart grieved as Dav's gaze on me showed nothing but disappointment. 

But this was the only way. It was clear that if I stayed with him, I might never know who I am or my purpose in life. 

"...we will take our leave now. Who knows, you might be fortunate to see her again." Gabriel uttered, not as if he would wait for Dav to say a word after him. There, before Dav could say anything, Gabriel vanished into thin air like we were never there while he still held on to my hand.

There, a wave of silence followed suit after the moment Gabriel had disappeared. No one knew what to say. Not even Agatha couldn't believe what she had just witnessed.
