Kapitel 20: Chapter 20 - Copper and Gold

After some time, understanding that Pan and his trading caravan were not small, Ania invited Pan to her office.

Ania, the representative of the Black Copper Trading Center, sat across from Pan in her office, surrounded by stacks of paperwork and ledgers. They had been discussing the prices of food and meat, a topic that was of great concern to both of them.

"For every kilogram of meat, we pay five copper coins," Ania said firmly, tapping her pen on a ledger. "It doesn't matter what type of meat it is; that's our standard rate."

Pan nodded thoughtfully, considering his options. "Well, I have some good news for you," he said. "We actually have three tons of meat on our caravan, including wolf meat, deer meat, and rabbit meat. And we're willing to sell it at a fair price."

Ania's eyes widened with surprise. "Three tonnages? That's quite a lot," she said. "But what price are you looking to sell it at?"

Pan took a deep breath, trying to gauge Ania's reaction.

and then he said "We understand that the people of Black Copper are struggling with high food prices, and we want to help in any way we can. So we are not going to increase the price too much.

Ania leaned back in her chair, considering Pan's offer. "I appreciate your willingness to help our town," she said slowly. "But I have to make sure that we're getting a fair deal. Can you give me a specific price for each tonnage of meat?"

Pan nodded, pulling out a ledger of his own. "Of course," he said, flipping through the pages of what kind of things they have in their cargos. Pan then added

"For every kg of meat, as you said, five copper coins are enough, which means that fifteen gold coins for three tons of meat would be okay for us." "I believe this is a fair deal for us and you people."

Ania's eyes widened in surprise. She thought in her mind.

"He is not like those merchants at all. Considering that it is clear that Black Copper Town has not enough meat, he is still okay with agreeing to our price. Even if he wanted thirty gold coins for three tons of meat, the town has no other way but to agree to him."

"It seems like he is trying to make friends with us in some sort of way."

Ania thanked me and commented.

"We pay twenty gold coins for the meat, and you said you have wood and stones too. For wood, each kg is priced at 1 copper coin, and for stone, it is 2 copper coins."

Pan smiled again and then spoke.

"We have one tonnage of wood and one tonnage of stone that are ready to use in the shape of cubic blocks, and the wood is already cut and clean to use."

Ania listened to Pan and then nodded.

"For wood, we will pay 2 gold coins for all, and for stone, we will pay 3 gold coins for all."

"All things considered, for everything you have, we will pay twenty gold coins."

Pan smiled, relieved that his negotiations had been successful. "I'm glad we could come to an agreement," he said. "We're happy to provide quality meat to the people of Black Copper at a fair price."
