Kapitel 8: Chapter 8 - Orders, More Orders !

As the sun began to rise over the horizon, Adrian stirred from his sleep. He stretched his limbs and yawned, feeling the stiffness of the previous day's work in his muscles.

As he stood up and looked around, he noticed that his puppet companions were already awake and moving about, their wooden bodies creaking as they gathered resources and tended to the campfire.

"Good morning!" Adrian greeted them with a smile. "Today we're going to need more help."

With a whisper, he reached out and created five more humanoid puppets from the wood in the storage cabin. These new puppets were rough and unpolished, but Adrian knew that they would serve their purpose.

"Alright, everyone," he said, addressing his growing team of puppets. "We need to gather more resources today. Fifteen of you will go out into the forest and gather wood, stones, and whatever else we can use. And remember to use weeds to cover your bodies and bark masks to hide your faces. We don't want to draw any unwanted attention."

The puppets nodded, their wooden bodies swaying as they moved into action. Adrian watched them go, feeling a sense of pride and satisfaction in the team that he was building.

After puppets wore crudely made weed clothing and a wood bark mask, they looked like humans with weed clothing and a mask on them. Without understanding magic, other people would have no way to understand that they are not humans but puppets.

Adrian knew that their numbers were growing and it was more than likely to encounter humans in the woods; they did not want to alert any kind of authority that there were humanoid creatures roaming in the forest.

So he decided to hide them using masks and clothing to make them look like humans.

As the day wore on, Adrian worked alongside his puppet companions, cutting and shaping wood, gathering stones, and building new tools and weapons. The puppets worked tirelessly beside him, their wooden bodies creaking and groaning with effort.

By the time the sun began to set once again, Adrian and his puppets had accomplished a great deal. They had gathered enough resources to last them for weeks, and they had built a new shelter to protect them from the elements.

As Adrian settled down to rest for the night, he looked out at his growing team of puppets and smiled. With their help, he knew that he could survive and thrive in the wilderness for as long as he needed to.

The camp got bigger and bigger as time went on; some of the wood and resources were used to make a roof for the puppets to gather under and take shelter from the rain. Twenty puppets are not a small number anymore.

One day later, the team of twenty puppets turned into fifteen puppets. This time Adrian gave a different order.

"Pan and nine other puppets will go and spread around and will go on from the road we are discovered to find a settlement; other ten puppets will stay here scattered around our location to keep the camp safe; and the other five will be gathering resources; go on!"

With orders from Byron, Pan and the nine puppets took their bow and arrows and spear for close combat and started moving.

The distance between the road and the campsite is only forty minutes' walk, so it should be no problem for them to investigate the road and come back in the night
