Kapitel 56: Sweetbread

A few blocks away, close to a minute after Pierre pulled Edol away.

"Oi! Let go of me! Ghost is still back there!"

The team leader glanced back as he ran, only now noticing the absence of Edol's feathered companion.

"Eh? Why didn't you say so?"

"I did! You just keep dragging me along!"

Pierre finally slowed his pace, allowing Edol to finally catch his breath.

"Well, it's too late to go back for him now. Hopefully your friend takes good care of him from now on. Anyways, let's grab some bread! I'm starving, and we're rich now!"

Edol's jaw slackened as he watched Pierre take out his coin purse and begin happily counting the small medal saucers within.

'That's my money! And I can't just leave Ghost behind! He's supposed to show me more about relic tomb hunting!'
