I raised an eyebrow at the statement as I wielded my staff at the ready. With my right hand holding the staff in front of me as the left held it back, the range advantage was already apparent to me as I cautiously moved forward-

I immediately paused in my steps, my feet unmoving as I stood in place just behind my sister.
