Kapitel 238: 37.3 Sudden Cold

I froze in place as alarm bells started kicking in inside my brain. Nothing was ever free in life, either in this world or the last. There was no such thing as a free meal like this, especially if it came from a street vendor whose stall, while not looking like the worst I've ever seen, didn't look too well off either. The way this young man smiled at me was uncannily disarming too. It was as if he was trained to do so for all of his life. Then again, the medieval period was notorious for having lifelong jobs starting at the age of five or eight. Maybe he was just that good at marketing or something...
