Kapitel 55: Kaiser meets the Duke (1)

Dante stared at the disappearing back of Baron Sylvester. He did not expect that to be the reason for the baron's dislike for him.

He looked down as some of his teeth gnashed together, '' I did not ask him to hold me dear to his heart.'' Veins trailed down his arm to his fists, showing how tight he squeezed his hands together.

Anger, anxiety, sadness, confusion, doubt….These emotions appeared in Dante's heart, and more continued to fill his chest.

He knew what the baron was talking about. His imperial majesty and he did look out for each other as their situation was similar. Their late mothers made them very close and at the same time, they distanced themselves after their deaths. 

While his imperial majesty was dealing with the second empress, his family was broken beyond repair. The mistress who destroyed his mother and father's marriage was also dead and his father realized everything too late.
